About Us
The Mobile County Deputy Sheriff and Correctional Officer Foundation was started in 2020 by a group of former law enforcement officers, and led by Sheriff Sam Cochran. Cochran is a native Mobilian who graduated from the McGill Institute and went on to attend the University of South Alabama where he holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in criminal justice and public administration.
The Mobile County Deputy Sheriff and Correctional Officer Foundation now offers supplemental financial aid to Deputy Sheriff’s and Correctional Officers in their pursuit of a college degree in Criminal Justice.
